For researchers

3D animations for your talk, thesis defense or paper

Explain your mechanism the way you picture it. Animiotics builds a 3D animation from real structures, including your own files, so your next conference talk, lab meeting or defense shows the science instead of describing it.

Where researchers use it

Conference talks and lab meetings

Open with ten seconds of motion that shows the whole mechanism, then spend your time on the data.

Thesis defenses

Give the committee one clear picture of the system you have worked on for years.

Video abstracts and supplements

Render an MP4 or a PNG still for a video abstract, graphical abstract or supplementary file. Check each journal's format requirements.

Grants and outreach

Explain the project to reviewers, funders and the public in a format they remember.

Your structures, your data

Attach your own PDB or mmCIF file to a prompt and the AI builds around it. Without one, it looks up the experimental structure in the RCSB Protein Data Bank, downloads the coordinates and notes which entry and biological assembly it used. Every structure it downloaded is listed in the scene's Scientific sources.

In the editor you can upload structures, search the Protein Data Bank and AlphaFold, and load molecular dynamics trajectories to show motion from your own simulations. Supported trajectory formats are multi-model PDB, XTC with a PDB or mmCIF topology, XYZ and extended XYZ, ASE .traj, XDATCAR and H5, shown as atoms and bonds.

Analysis tools and storytelling tools do different jobs

ChimeraX, PyMOL and Blender with Molecular Nodes are excellent, and Animiotics does not replace them for structure analysis. Animiotics is for the next step: turning the system you understand into a short, cinematic story that an audience follows the first time, without weeks of 3D work.

Plans for academic budgets

Academic plans start with Single at $3.99 a month for one animation a month. Starter is $19 a month for 6 generations (about $3.17 each), and Plus is $49 a month for 18 generations (about $2.72 each). Labs can pay by invoice; ask from the plans page.

Questions

Can the AI use my own structure?

Yes. Attach a PDB or mmCIF file of up to 10 MB to your prompt, and describe what it should show.

Can I show my molecular dynamics simulation?

Yes, in the editor. Load the trajectory in one of the supported formats and it plays as atoms and bonds. Trajectories are not yet available as an input to the AI.

What resolution can I export?

AI-made scenes render in the cloud as MP4 up to 1920 px wide at 24, 25, 30 or 60 frames per second, and as lossless PNG stills. Scenes you build by hand in the editor can export video up to 4K.

Does it replace ChimeraX or PyMOL?

No. Use them to analyze structures. Use Animiotics when you need a polished animation that explains a mechanism to an audience.

How do I know which structures were used?

The Scientific sources panel lists every structure the generator downloaded, with its PDB ID and file format.
